Not Quite a Haiku

Three lines at the end of an email,
Evocative, Improvisational, Mundane:
Ringing like a penny dropped on a marimba

Hope I get to see you tonight, dang it,
But if you're busy or otherwise anything,
I can wait forever for you - I already have.
